Sound Meditation Vs Sound Healing
Sound Meditation Vs Sound Healing
Is there a difference between Sound Meditation and Sound Healing?
It’s a question I hear often! While the two terms are sisters, they each bring a slightly different gift to your experience.
Sound Meditation is the practice of using sound as an "anchor" for your mind. Instead of trying to sit in silence (which can feel impossible when you have a thousand thoughts running through your head!), you use the sounds and vibrations of the bowls to stay present. It’s a gentle way to quiet the "mental chatter" and give your brain a much-needed break.
Sound Healing, on the other hand, is about the vibrational impact on your physical and energetic body. You don't actually have to "do" anything or even be "good" at meditating. The sound waves do the work for you—moving through your body to lower your heart rate, calm your nervous system, and return your cells to a state of harmony.
Our sessions are designed so that while your mind finds stillness through the meditation, your body receives the restorative benefits of the healing.
You don't need to know how to meditate to benefit from sound healing. You just need to show up and breathe. The bowls will do the rest.
