A Mama Blessing (or Mother/ Baby Blessingway) is an intimate pre-birth celebration to honour the mother-to-be as she transitions into motherhood. Where a traditional Baby Shower focuses on the baby, often giving baby gifts, playing games and offering advice about caring for the baby; a Mama Blessing is focused on the Mother. This ceremony is for the most trusted and cherished women in her life to come together as a support circle, to shower her with love during her final stages of pregnancy and show that they are by her side for support, love and encouragement into, and throughout, her journey of motherhood.

A Mama Blessing can be organised for the mother-to-be by a family member, friend, or by the mother-to-be herself. This ceremony would usually be held in the third trimester of pregnancy. This ceremony is for every pregnant Mama, whether it be her first baby or her second, third, fourth onward. Every time a baby is born, a Mother grows and changes alongside her baby, and alongside her family.

Each ceremony is tailored individually with a selection of intimate rituals to choose from. These will be discussed during the consultation phone call to ensure the rituals are the perfect selection for the mum-to-be.

Inclusions & Cost

Mama Blessing for up to 12 women

$295

Planning consultation: Approx. 15 - 20 minutes either in-person or via phone depending on location
Ceremony & rituals tailored individually for mum-to-be
Ceremony facilitation & materials for rituals (excluding any items guests are asked to bring)
Circle/ Alter set up: Rugs, cushions, centerpiece, fresh flowers/ foliage
Sage smudging to commence ceremony

The ceremony will run for approximately 1.5 hours, sometimes more depending on how much is shared within the circle, and which rituals are chosen.

We will also need an hour to set up and will therefore need access to the venue at least one hour prior to the ceremony.

Payment

A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required at time of booking to secure your booking & event date. Remainder of payment is due 5 days before the event date.

Travel

Bookings that require over half an hour travel time to the location will incur an additional travel fee. Please email info@nourishedwomanco.com for more information.
